Clothing

Clothes; Plan to layer clothing (sweatshirt over TShirt, Jacket over sweatshirt)

-         To wear up

-         Change of clothes

-         *** This is Scouting event; appropriate dress wear only

Underwear and socks

Sweat Suit with hooded sweat shirt or wool cap to sleep in

Hiking boots are strongly suggested;

- it can be wet/damp this time of year so whatever footwear is selected, pack an extra pair.

 

Personal Hygiene Kit

Tooth Brush / toothpaste

Hairbrush or comb

Soap & Hand Towel

Bug spray (no aerosol, pump only)

Willie Roll

– “Will he go or won’t he?”; never hurts to pack a small roll of TP.

 

Gear

Sleeping Bag

        Rated for 30 degrees; no higher than 40 degrees.

Blanket if desired

Small pillow

Foam Pad or piece of cardboard 6’x2’ (no large air mattresses)

Poncho or rain gear

-         doesn’t have to be expensive to be effective

-         bringing nothing is not effective

Flashlight

Pocketknife

-         Totin Chit card required on person

-         No card, knife will be confiscated

Personal first aid kit

-         inexpensive; check Scout Handbook

Canteen or drink holder for hiking

Optional for this trip:
